Ed Glinert here. I would advise all those interested in going on Manchester tours to avoid the organisation “Manchester Guided Tours” run by Jean Bailo, Pauline Lloyd, Kate Dibble et al. They are an institutionally anti-Semitic body that operates an apartheid system against the city’s only Jewish guide – me – banning and excluding me from every single guiding group and programme I am entitled to belong to. They have even expelled me from the North-West Association simply to stop me getting the cheap insurance every pother guide gets. That is apartheid: ban the Jew.
Instead of working with me to create better tours, these four women have been lying, cheating, bullying and constantly trying to stop me working as a guide. When I examine their corrupt behaviour, it is easy to see how the Post Office bosses got away with theirs for so many years. So that the public knows what is happening, here is an explanation.
My aim for the North-West Association of Tour Guides has long been to set up a quality website so that all members could get more work. This would use up much of time but I’m happy to volunteer. I have also offered to run free training sessions so that members impart accurate history to their customers. The response from the four below and their friends like Sue McCarthy, Elizabeth Sibbering and Emma Fox: why don’t you fuck off back to London? We don’t want a Jew in our group. Charming.
Pauline Lloyd is the leader of their 15-year campaign of bullying, lying, cheating and corrupt behaviour. She is a vile and vicious bully. I have constantly tried to talk to her to find why she is behaving so but she refuses to communicate. When she discovered that I, Ed Glinert, was Jewish, she started to make my life a misery, throwing me out of every Manchester guiding programme in existence.
She is a dangerous individual with no humanity, no warmth, no basic decency. She is the kind of person who should have been born in Germany in the early years of the 20th century. She would have fitted in perfectly.

Kate Dibble’s greatest achievement as a Manchester tour guide was to wreck my plan for a music tour that all the guides could do to earn money. I spent two whole days in 2010 preparing the script and planning the stops, which I handed over at a meeting in the Town Hall Tavern. Dibble and her useless partner, Jean Bailo, turned up half-way through drunk, took the piss, and refused to promote the tour. Thanks for wasting my time, Kate.
This year, Kate Dibble has asked the police to get me to apologise to her. She is worried that people might threaten her on a tour because I have accused her of being an anti-Semite. Well, Kate, stop excluding me from every guiding group in the same way gentile groups have long excluded Jews from sports clubs, social outfits etc. Kate! It’s that simple, Kate. How do you think I felt when you and your fellow North-West officers published details of my address, the address of a Jewish tour guide, in an e-mail sent to hundreds and hundreds of people, some of whom are rather dangerous, after I pleaded with you not to and to change it. I’ve told the police this and they have agreed with me that you have deliberately put my life in danger; so, no apology.

One of the carrots in paying more than £2,000 to become a so-called “official” Manchester tour guide (with a pointless Green Badge which nobody understands) was to be included on the rota to do the regular Discover Manchester tour. Nevertheless Jean Bailo, a committee freak who attends more pointless meetings than does tours, excluded me from the rota while including 30 other guides. When I did my first Manchester Town Hall tour, Jean Bailo turned up to stop me doing it because with a Green Badge I wasn’t “qualified” (read: she wanted my customers). And what do you know?, a few months later, she was supporting all the Green Badge guides to do the Town Hall tour – apart from me, Ed Glinert. Ironically Jean Bailo herself has been unable to get the names of the Town Hall statues right and has no idea why some of them are there! Incompetent, corrupt and useless. Stopping someone going about their lawful work is a criminal offence, Jean! It is industrial sabotage. Because there has been no reparation for this, or a public apology, it has been reported as evidence.

As soon as I, Ed Glinert, discovered that Elizabeth Charnley was a new Manchester guide, I offered her work at Salford Quays, near where she lives. Her response was to accuse me of “insulting” her. A little while later, Charnley summoned me for a meeting to expel me from the North-West Association of Tour Guides for the crime of being Jewish. At that meeting Elizabeth Charnley, who had never met me before, was seething with venom, like something out of a horror film. There is no excuse for such behaviour. She is clearly a deeply disturbed and psychopathic individual.

These four women want Glinert to stop guiding in Manchester simply because he is Jewish. Ironically, their vitriolic campaign has worked against the other guides. They have spent 15 years refusing to let me, Ed Glinert, create a North-West website which would earn all the guides more money. Neither of these four women are fit to be Manchester guides, although fortunately they don’t actually do tours; they simply sit on committees issuing directives which no one takes any notice of. I have been pleading with them for 15 years to find out what the problem is but they refuse to talk to me.
