Our friends at the Factory International are staging a festival in praise of women at the end of May. So in conjunction with the occasion we are hosting our popular “Formidable Women of Manchester” walking tour on Friday the 24th of May at 5.30pm, starting at the Emmeline Pankhurst statue.
This is an eye-opening exploration of a side of Manchester history not covered enough, with remarkable stories about Emmeline Pankhurst, Elizabeth Gaskell, Mother Ann Lee, Annie Horniman, Ellen Wilkinson and more.
